Hurricane Season is here!! Are you prepared?

The mission of the Clothing Outlet is to provide the community with quality, inexpensive clothing for school-aged children and their families. Proceeds from sales are used to fund various community outreach programs that support people in need and lead unchurched people to become fully devoted followers of Christ. We are especially grateful for our many volunteers and Partner Organizations that help make it happen!

Founded in the late 1960s by members of the Alvin faith community, The Clothing Outlet is a long-standing outreach ministry of First Presbyterian Church of Alvin. We offer quality clothing, shoes, accessories, and household items at the lowest cost possible - while supporting local mission work and families in need.

We accept the following new and used clothing donations (any condition) via the 24x7 outdoor collection bin at our facility:

As a Non-Profit organization that resells both new and used donated items, our operating costs are extremely low - which allows the majority of proceeds to go directly back into helping our local community. The Clothing Outlet supports numerous mission and outreach programs including Operation Backback, local student scholarships, and helping people in need.
The Clothing Outlet is conveniently located on the campus of First Presbyterian Church of Alvin. Situated on W. Blum St. between S. Beauregard St. and S. Johnson St., we are open for business the following days / times:
At First Presbyterian Church of Alvin, we believe everyone deserves access to clean, appropriate clothing and compassionate support during difficult times.

No, however, we have an annual Mission Sale in September each year and will begin collecting items for the Mission Sale starting at the beginning of September.
We have a donation bin available 24/7 across from the front door of the Clothing Outlet. If you have a large donation, please call the office to schedule a drop off.
We do both! We primarily sell the clothing at extremely discounted rates and use the proceeds to help the community in various ways. Vouchers are available for those who live in Alvin surrounding areas present a need, or whom are referred by partner organizations/churches.
Proceeds from the items sold have historically been used to support Alvin ISD's Operation Backpack, local student scholarships, and several other needs in the local community at the discretion of First Presbyterian Church of Alvin.

The Alvin Manvel Community Food Pantry was founded in 1980 by Edith Hillhouse Dann with a mission to feed the families and individuals of the community in need. She started the pantry out of a room in First Christian Church. It has continued to thrive and provide since. The number of families we serve has tripled since 2020. We currently provide groceries to around 300 families a week (that’s around 850 people!) thanks to our partners and volunteers. We rely on public donations (money and food) to help us server those in need.
Thanks to all who help the pantry to support the community!!!
